About Chart-Ex

History

Chart-Ex LLC was established in 2001 and is headquartered in Winnetka, IL. The company's co-founders, Doug and Lisa Erdmier, created an innovative technical analysis tool which displays market price action and volumes along a vertical axis. Doug and Lisa each have over 25 years experience and involvement in the securities and futures markets

In the fall of 2002, Chart-Ex partnered with the Chicago Board of Trade by providing the Chart-Ex display prototype to CBOT members via the CBOT MemberNet website. The Chart-Ex graphic display showcases nine actively traded CBOT contracts, using end-of-day data from the CBOT's Liquidity Data Bank (LDB) files. Positive and constructive feedback from CBOT members to Chart-Ex has resulted in the current web-based product.

Chart-Ex, LLC copyrighted the Chart-Ex display and has a patent pending.

Vision

Chart-Ex, LLC plans to serve the investment community by offering traders, brokers, and long-term investors innovative trading tools which make analyzing market data easier and faster. In today's fast-paced trading environment, traders and investors need trading tools that show a concise visualization of the market's price action. Chart-Ex strives to constantly bring to market high-value unique products which facilitate the analysis of market data.

Officers

Lisa M. Erdmier, President
Lisa has a B.A. in Finance from Northern University. She began her 20-year plus involvement in commodities and equities as a technical analyst for Merrill Lynch, John Eckstein, and Discount Corporation. For the past twenty years, Lisa has continued to follow the equity and financial markets, honing her skills as a technical analyst. It was Lisa's determination to gain a clearer picture of significant market data that gave birth to the Chart-Ex concept.

Douglas J. Erdmier, VP Business Development
Doug, a CBOT Member, has been a broker and trader for 23 years. As an active participant in the financial and agricultural trading arena, Doug has gained an insider's knowledge of the motivations of market players and uses this knowledge to develop trading tools which facilitate the analysis of market data.
